Mopheads coming back soon!

Exciting news! I've decided to revive my home-based floral design business this spring. Haven't worked out all the details yet, but I'm taking baby steps to get there.

First, my friend Elaine was able to find and convert the logo she designed for me 12 years ago. Cute, isn't it? Elaine is also a talented water color artist. Check out her work.

Yesterday, I took a floral design 101 class at the Faith Flowers flower school. I plan to attend more classes later this month. Take a look at the class calendar and let me know if you'd like to join me.

Flower studio in Virginia Highlands.

Owner Laura Iarocci and assistant.

Just back from a wedding show the team transferred their display to the studio. Love this tablescape!

Taking a closer look. Such a sweet milk glass bowl of mums with pearl pins in bloom centers. I don't  usually care for mums, but this is lovely.

Another adorable touch -- orchid surrounded by moss in a milk glass pot. In case you haven't noticed here and in shelter mags, milk glass is in...

 as are succulents. Darling vignette.

So during the class we learned about conditioning flowers and made two arrangements -- one tall and one low centerpiece.  Here's one of my masterpieces

Hope these photos have added a bit of cheer to this dreary day in Atlanta -- clearly not ready to watermark my pics. Perhaps I should take a photography class.

I'll be keeping you posted on my progress.

  2. Love the logo! Love the idea! Love your masterpiece! I want to be a client! I even have a footed milk glass container with my mother's floral frog (spiky thing) in it ready to go! Congratulations!
